Academy Policy

Part 1: Your Account
Upon signup, you were given a personalized account with your courses, grades, instructor information, etc.
Account management & accuracy is the responsibility of the end-user. However, account support is available,  should you have the need to change any information regarding your account  (ex: Email or Tech Tr1be ID).

Part 2: Academic Integrity
Though we (Tech Tr1be Academy) are not a real school, we still support (and enforce) academic integrity. This means you are asked to treat this as an everyday class. Login, do some work, and go about your day. See part 3 of this for more information on this.

Part 3: Account Termination Policies
Though account termination is unlikely, there are a few scenarios where users may face account termination. Some of these scenarios include, but is not limited to, violations of academic integrity (aka Cheating), plagiarism, attempting to bypass filters, or any other unreasonable act not specified in these policies.
Important: We reserve the right to disable or terminate your account for any reason without notice!

Part 1: Your Course
You are responsible for keeping up with your course.
For the time being, pacing guides do not exist. That said...
If you're "inactive" (or don't make progress in your course) you may be eligible for a strike.

Part 2: Pacing Guides
As of right now (1/21/2023), we do not have any pacing guides because courses are being developed.
Once we do, this policy will be updated.

Part 3: Late Policy
At Tech Tr1be Academy, we believe in a flexible learning environment. Because of this, you are not required to attend regular meetings or complete a lesson a day. However...
In order to improve service for those who want to keep taking our courses, we ask that each assignment would be completed within 14 days of the last quiz submitted or within 14 days of being admitted into your course.
You will receive an email notice as well as a banner warning on your account homepage when we think your account might be inactive. Once the timer begins, you will have 14 days to complete a quiz before you're issued a strike.

Part 1: Data Protection
We use Google Sheets to store information. The only data we keep from you is your name (first & last) for personalization and your email for contact purposes. All emails collected are secured on Google's servers and are protected under Huron's domain. No one else (except admins of Tech Tr1be Academy and in some scenarios, the Huron School District itself since they can see & access our documents) has the right to access your information.

Part 2: Data Usage
WE WILL NEVER SPAM OR ADVERTISE TO YOU!!!
We will only use your data for personalization purposes (first & last names) and your email to reach out to you regarding your account and/or courses.
